Steve a qualified electro-mechanical design engineer and general mechanic of many years, decided some time ago to live his life long dream of stepping out of the mundane ‘9 til ‘5 into something that reflected his passion, Mercedes Benz vehicles. Having been an owner since the 1990’s he took a keen interest in their maintenance and upkeep, restoring repairing and preserving many models of the time whilst working on other brands through his regular day job.
Having in the past purchased new cars through the Mercedes dealer network, Steve knows only too well where the service level of maintainers of these prestige cars lies, striving to exceed this performance through all Allmerc.uk’s services. The key to the success of this modern business is the open sharing of knowledge and information, complete transparency with the owner, instead of maintaining the apparent ‘secret world’ of Mercedes knowledge, held on to only by dealerships and a privileged few.
Through informing clients exactly where their faults and problems lie, it enables them to make informed decisions. Maybe what is required is something they can deal with themselves or perhaps rely on the expertise of Allmerc.uk to do for them. Again accurate ‘real-world’ estimates of repair costs are important to the owner, especially when considering engagement in complex or large scale work. Additionally you can be safe in the knowledge that if your problem is deemed a ‘quick fix’ and something possibly you can easily attend to yourself, Steve will tell you precisely that, and may even take the time to show you how to do it!
Trained in electronics, with a high level understanding of IT and electronic systems, Steve’s background fits perfectly the world of modern technology that is built inside todays motor vehicles. Allmerc.uk has a full range of diagnostic equipment at its disposal with the ability to extract factory fault codes and service information from almost any Mercedes Benz vehicle manufactured from way back in the 1980’s, when on board diagnostics was in its infancy, to the latest models that rely so heavily on this ever-developing technology.
Complex control and management systems have also found their way into the commercial vehicle sector, Mercedes Benz being no exception. Steve realised early on that many of the passenger car developments were now commonplace on the most utilitarian of commercial vehicles. This meant all the skills gained within the passenger car market could in most cases be overlayed onto that of the commercial scene. Common rail CDI diesel engine technology is used throughout the entire range of diesel powered Mercedes Benz vehicles, not only utilising the same control systems across the spectrum but also sharing common parts, sensors and devices.
Allmerc.uk has been taking care of fleet operations for several small to medium sized clients for over five years and has delivered beyond expectation, year on year. It is true to say that with both expertise in passenger and commercial vehicles Allmerc is here to stay. If you need to speak to one of our fleet or domestic clients to further rate our performance, then drop us an email using the contact form and we will put you in touch. We hope to see you soon.
